Core Duties & Responsibilities

Perform construction layout for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects
Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control\n
Execute boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys\n
Interpret civil, architectural, and structural plans with precision
Operate survey equipment confidently and correctly
Identify conflicts, discrepancies, and field issues early and communicate them clearly
Maintain accurate field notes, data collection, and documentation
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients
Protect survey control and uphold quality standards on active job sites
Troubleshoot field challenges independently and effectively
Represent the company professionally at all times

Senior or leadership roles may also include:

Mentoring junior staff
Overseeing field operations
Reviewing data and deliverables
Contributing to workflow improvements
